Those of you that follow me on Facebook already know that at the end of this year I will be leaving Ten Penny Tattoo and going to work at Kings Kreation. This was not an easy decision to make, but one that had to be made.
For four years we kept the 10d (that's the abbreviation for ten penny, as in nails) ship afloat and tried our best to keep her sails full. Unfortunately I have reached a point in my life where my finaces are an issue. I made sure that the shop was fully stocked and my artists paid on time. But in order to do that I couldn't get paid.
My business partner Raven delRio will be taking over the helm and I wish her and the crew the best of luck. Ten Penny has earned a respectable place in the NM tattooing community, and I know that they will carry that on.
My plans for the future are to expand my exposure in the art world. Not only in tattooing, but also in painting and illustration. This alone is like running a full time business, so leaving Ten Penny had to be done for it to work. I plan on adding more destinations on my guest spot travels to further expose my work across the country. Eventually I would like to start working at some of the better known tattoo conventions in the USA and hopefully overseas in the future.
As soon as I get some working capital I'll be adding an online store here for art prints, t-shirts, and misc items. I'm hoping to eventually create a line of shirts and outerwear featuring some of my custom designs. Keep coming back here for more updates on these and other plans.
